April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and piano lessons which ignited her interest in songwriting. April's very first song was called Different. She wrote it at 12 years of age. At the age of 14, April devoted much of her day writing and practicing songs. She began writing with her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April began also to incorporate other related topics for some of her friends dealing with issues such as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a popular figure and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the popular Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. She was born without her left hand and that is part of who she is--but that's not the entire story. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't insist on the issue. What message does it convey? It's crucial to understand that each of us has numerous faces. Our identities vary and we're greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I don't think that should define me. It's not my intention to be an influencer on disability because I have so much more to offer." It doesn't affect my daily life. Everything is normal and I've learned to make adjustments. It's a big part of my life, so it is important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart is a true source of source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting, is on a long road to reach it. She has been through times when she felt uncomfortable in dressing in certain styles that showed her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post photos in those outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. One of the keys to self-love for her is that it's not a goal. It's a fact that I see common to everyone regardless of what the source of their anxiety. It's important to have people that know and appreciate you. They will be the ones to ask you: What do you think about?
