Amanda Seales aka Amanda Diva (born July 1st 1981) is a comedian, host/DJ and content creator from Los Angeles, California. Her move to Orlando at the age of 8 years old, and went to Dr. Phillips High School. When she completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY Purchase, Amanda earned the master's degree in African American Studies with a concentration in hip-hop from Columbia University. Her career began on the now cult famous Nickelodeon comedy My Brother and Me 1994 in the role of Deonne before becoming famous to the world as VJ Amanda Diva, the face of hip-hop in MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays. Amanda Seales was a recorded artist, spoken word poetry in 2011. She returned to television in the following year and soon began to add stand up comic to her resume. She's the CEO of DivaWorks Inc, her production company that creates and presents hilarious and smart content on stage and on screens. She has been very active in empowering young women and promoting the elimination of racism.
