Allison Brooks Janney, an American actor from the United States. Her work is recognized for its performances on the screen and stage, she has received various accolades including an Academy Award a British Academy Film Award as well as a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to two nominations for Tony Awards. After more than twenty years in the regional theatre as an actress, Allison Janney became a household name playing White House press secretary C.J. Gregg on the popular and acclaimed television drama The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney has always been the late stager. She got her Ohio driver's license a full year later at the age of 17. Her first time on a date, it was while she was at the University. She auditioned from age 23, however she did not make her screen debut until in her mid-twenties, even though she was a regular since then. Faris has since left Mom in 2020 has chosen to be very selective in her role choices. Her roles have been primarily in animations with the one exception, 2022's The Estate. Faris told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she wasn't conscious of her choice. Anna Faris had left CBS's popular sitcom Mom prior to the final eighth season. Faris was announcing at the time that she was leaving the show to look for possibilities for a new career. Now, Faris is opening up on the motivations behind her decision. It wasn't something she did consciously. Janney was wearing a wig since the very beginning of the show and was unafraid. Fallon stated: "I told Fallon that Janney was wearing a hair since the beginning of season 1, but no one was aware of it. Now, everyone knows." Janney is taking her wig along with her to commemorate the moment. The actress reportedly earned anywhere as high as $125,000 for each episode on early seasons of the series. Faris and partner Allison Janey, are estimated to earn $200,000 per episode by the end of season 4, or in third season.
