Allison Brooks Janney, an American actor from the United States. Her work is recognized for its performances on the screen and stage, she has received various accolades including an Academy Award a British Academy Film Award as well as a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to two nominations for Tony Awards. After more than twenty years in the regional theatre as an actress, Allison Janney became a household name playing White House press secretary C.J. Gregg on the popular and acclaimed television drama The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney has always been the late stager. She got her Ohio driver's license a full year later at the age of 17. Her first time on a date, it was while she was at the University. She auditioned from age 23, however she did not make her screen debut until in her mid-twenties, even though she was a regular since then.
