Katherine Heigl opens up to everyone regarding her "white bubble childhood" and how it has influenced how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. In an interview with she spoke about the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her body didn't matter to her. But after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different the two were. "I asked my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd received the same treatment when she was walking around with our parents and a different way when she went out by herself without them. Meg replied "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" Heigl addressed Parents about how she realized her naivet . The actress said that she was angry but felt she needed use that anger to help adopt her daughters. Heigl has a son who is four year with Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year old girl that they adopted in 2012.
